Stacked Waters by Teresita Fernandez at Blanton Museum of Art, 2009
Curator Annette DiMeo Carlozzi entrusted SFAS founder Patrick Sheehy to design a fabrication plan and permanently install Stacked Waters in the museum’s atrium. Working from a color chart provided by Fernández, the installation features cast acrylic planks applied vertically throughout the atrium and central stairwell. The work references the movement of water and light, creating an immersive and experiential environment for visitors.
Renowned patrons and collectors Jeanne and Mickey Klein generously supported this project.

Siphonophora by Thomas Glassford at Blanton Museum of Art, 2017
Patrick Sheehy deinstalled the hanging sculpture in Mexico City in partnership with the artist and museum staff. The work was subsequently reinstalled in the Blanton’s museum atrium, requiring adjustments to accommodate the new space. Suspended approximately 40 feet from the ceiling, the installation demanded careful coordination with museum staff, precision in safely securing the work, and respect for both the architectural integrity and functionality of the atrium.
